Photo essay
Self promotion isn't easy.
Most of us are taught from an early age that it is just not polite or proper. I've been very lucky to have a few folks who were interested enough in
taking my photo so there is a visual record of the changes my body has gone through. The more recent shots of me are thanks to my wonderful wife. My addoped sister, Gwen Smith, has a few more I haven't seen as of yet...

I knew I was FTM but was still in denile.
A year later, a fall from a telephone pole convinced
me that life is too short to be unhappy.
After a 40 day stay in the Wacko Bin, I'd had enough!
I have this nude pre-transition photo
thanks to Laurie
Toby Edison and her book:
Outside the First FTM Convention in San Francisco.
Dean was amazed at the time that I had no problem taking
my shirt off.
I was happy to show the 'boob' shrinkage.
My Second photo was taken almost a year
after starting Hormone treatment. At the first Annual FTM Conference in 1995, I was
approached by Dean Kotula. He asked if he might have a shot of me and take shots
each year. I had/have no problem with it and had fun. In Seattle, the next Conference,
he took another photo but I haven't seen a copy of it.
If anyone knows how to get a hold of
Dean - please have him get in touch with me - Thanks.

I was working for On Q and needed a shot for the people
online to have an idea of what I looked like.
Notice that the hairline is already receeding....
The funny part of this hair loss is that I look very
much like my Uncles.

I can no longer get away with a flat top hair doo as
there isn't much left....

I finally have a full kilt to show off my family Tartan.
We drove to the Scottish Games and I had quite a few
ladies who wanted photo with me! Go figure!
The Balmoral sure does cover the lack of hair. LOL!

The wife wanted one showing my smile.
I must admit I am a MUCH happier human these days!
