They get a good mix of clothing styles in and can really fit smaller guys. I recently took a small butch dyke friend of mine shopping there - she needed new clothes for a new job. She's about 5'2" and 110 lbs - and we found her a really nice selection of clothes that fit with only minor alterations (finishing the hem on unfinished hem trousers and shortening the jacket sleeves 1 inch) My personal problem is finding suits for short big guys. I wear a 46 short (at 5'6" tall with a burly, muscular body). No problem finding 46 regulars but the jackets are often too long. Plus, since I've lost some weight I wear a 38 inch trouser so a standard suit (either short or regular) with a 6 inch drop requires quite a lot of trouser tailoring and a portly suit (either short or regular) with a 4 inch drop is major tailoring in the trousers (though the jackets fit a bit better) and athletic cut with an 8 inch drop are harder to find. Thank god tailoring is usually free with men's suits. S~ |
